We’ll continue monitoring Grandpa to ensure he remains stable and comfortable. While we can’t know how long he’ll be with us, we do know he’ll have the best possible life in the time he has left — all because of caring animal lovers like you. Grandpa needed a dedicated team to determine the cause of his ailments, help him heal and regain strength, and find him a new home to live his best life. Without a rescue prepared to do all it would take, he was at risk of immediate euthanasia.

Barc Animal Shelter & Adoptions

Thanks to our dedicated firefighters, 100% of the proceeds benefit the work of the shelter. We are working diligently to recover from the outbreak, and we are asking the public to help in finding other resources for felines found in the community. Sick and injured felines will still be accepted however, there is a high risk of euthanasia due to the outbreak and capacity for care. She immediately came to visit us, and the food she received for her pups meant that her limited income could be spent keeping the dogs, and the hjortekalv rest of her family, happy and healthy. Animal mills provide little care and human interaction with the dogs. These facilities promote irresponsible breeding practices and focus more on their bottom line than the welfare of the animals they shelter.

Most animals dwelling in animal shelters have either been abandoned or become lost without anyway to identify their owner. Animal shelters provide a warm, safe place for animals to stay until their owner, or new family comes to take them home. Animals wandering the street are much more likely to become ill, injured or killed. Fortunately, and perhaps a little unfortunately, animal shelters receive new dogs and cats regularly. This means that you can go to a shelter and not find a pet you really meld with. If this happens, the shelter volunteers will be more than happy to help you when you come back again.
